Why Choose Three Lochs?

Family-run, award-winning, and quietly proud of the park we’ve built between three Galloway lochs.

Three Lochs Holiday Park is a family-run holiday park in Wigtownshire — the south-westerly corner of Scotland that most maps overlook. We sit on more than a thousand acres of woodland and water, with three private lochs on the estate, an indoor pool open all year, and eight other facilities built up over the years to give our owners and guests something to actually do.

We’re independent, we’re not part of a chain, and the people you’ll meet on a visit are the people who run the place. That’s a deliberate choice — and it shows up in the small things, which we think are usually the ones that count.

Voted One of Scotland's Best

2025 staycation award for Scotland , AA award for environmental excellence, also David Bellamy gold conservation award. In 2014, the Seaton family bought the established forest retreat style park, and from then on has expanded to include all the facilities and activities it has now.

The Land

Over a thousand acres, threaded with woodland trails and three working fishing lochs. Owners have a sizeable park to call theirs — a rare thing in Scottish holiday parks.

The Welcome

The team you'll meet on a visit is the team you'll see in five years' time. Owners and guests come back year on year, and the place feels it.

The Offer

Eight on-park facilities and a 12-month season. We've built the kind of park where you genuinely don't need to drive anywhere to fill a day.

From a Few Pitches to a Park

Three Lochs began in 2014, when the Seaton family took on the estate at Balminnoch and started welcoming guests onto a handful of pitches. Over time, it has expanded into what it is today, offering a wide range of facilities and activities for its guests to enjoy.

Today, the park is run by the Seatons, with a permanent team across reception, grounds, the bar and the activity teams. We’ve grown carefully, adding facilities that the people staying with us actually wanted, rather than the ones a brochure designer would.

Galloway is the Reason

South West Scotland is quieter than the postcards. Wigtownshire — our county — has more sheep than people, more book shops than cinemas, and one of the best stretches of dark sky in Europe just up the road in the Galloway Forest. Cairnryan ferries run forty-five minutes from the gate. Glasgow’s two hours up the M77.

The lochs themselves — Loch Ronald, Loch Heron and Black Loch — sit within the estate. They give the park its name, its fishing, its kayaking and its quietest mornings.

See What Our Owners And Guests Say

It's not just a holiday park — it's a kind and loving community, who welcomes and includes everyone.

— Margaret

Solitude, peace and quiet — our wee happy place.

— Linda

Our beautiful idyllic paradise. It is great for me as I enjoy the solitude, peace and quiet — but also suits my hubby as he likes to be around people, so he goes visiting the other owners, who are all lovely. Perfect for both of us. Plenty for all ages to do, great staff who are always available to help when you need it. Don't think anyone would find a better place to stay.
